Located at the dark edge of the Temecula Valley's wine country this spot allows viewers to a faint glimpse of the Milky Way on Moonless nights - and the stars are always wonderful!
Put Lake Skinner in your navigation system of choice and turn into the entrance off Buck/Borel Road (name various depending on map source).
The entrance to the park is in the big turn of Borel Rd so be ready for it!
After the park sign you'll follow Warren Rd for about one quarter (1/4) mile...
Do not follow the paved road as it turns to the right to Lake Skinner - stay straight onto the dirt road and I'll be parked at the end of the road - just park behind my car.
I recommend you apply bug spray after leaving your car - those mosquitoes can be quite pesty! And if you're prone to cool quickly, or it's fall through spring - bring a sweatshirt/jacket - it cools off quickly.
